Another day, another blog…
It’s crazy to think that half the year has gone by already and you haven’t taken that much needed break. You’re probably asking yourself why haven’t you?
Well, we’re just here to tell you why taking a mental health break can benefit you and why travel is the best way to do it?
#1. Did you know that travel releases a high level of dopamine which basically means it makes you HAPPIER…
Study says that “waiting for experiences tends to be more positive than waiting for possessions.” And, it goes on to say that “people derive more happiness from the anticipation of experiential purchases and that waiting for an experience tends to be more pleasurable and exciting than waiting to receive a material good.” – WHO KNEW??
#2. Travel Lets You Disconnect & Recharge
One of the best things you can do for your mental health every now and again, especially if you are very stressed out / work under a lot of pressure and so the list goes on, the best thing you can do is to disconnect in order to recharge.
Working for days, weeks, and months on end may help get you where you’re looking to go #gogetter However, you deserve a break because you may just suffer from burnout, depression, anxiety, and a whole host of other problems and ailments- so lets avoid that on all costs
#3: When you travel, you are stepping outside your comfort zone, for one thing. Even if your destination is keeping it local or internationally , you are still experiencing new things.
Mark Twain said it best:
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.n- a little profound but very true! Get out there and just do it!
#4Travel Makes You Physically Healthier – MINDBLOWN
If you’re an active individual and asking why is travel important, there are some great benefits of traveling in store for you especially when it comes to physical helath. You can find yourself through airports and train stations to make that tight connection – enough to get the heart rate up to catch some rays and soaking up some vitamin D on the beach.
